Scotland launches year of Gastronomy

Little known outremanche, Scottish cuisine is now recognized internationally. The years of Scottish cuisine is an excellent excuse to discover the next destination with its buds…

For a year, VisitScotland famous cuisine and local produce Scottish. The opportunity to showcase the best of Scotland: the richness and superior quality of local products by the best chefs kitchens, combined with the incredible selection of proposed gastonomiques events throughout the year.

The festivities will take place throughout Scotland until May 2011. Of Edinburgh’s Royal Highland Show at Foodies At The Festival, through the Arbroath Sea Festival or the Orkney Wine Festival, many events will delight the taste buds of connoisseurs and novices passions of Scotland. For example, the Scotland Food and Drink Fortnight (half Scottish cuisine) will take place in September throughout Scotland before that attention moves northward to the Shetland Food Festival in October.

Our country has a variety of fantastic natural products, the year of gastronomy is a great opportunity to finally present Scotland as the new dining destination.
